Novostavba altoettingské kaple Panny Marie a sv. The new building of the Altoetting Chapel of the Virgin Mary and St. Kajetán was built in 1665-66, probably under the direction of the builder Jacob Goetzinger. The architect came from Austrian town of St. Florian. The plot, not far from the places of the former Strahov Gate, was bought by Maria Eusebia, Countess of Martinice, née Šternberk. In 1649, the heir became the highest burgrave Bernard Ignác of Martinice. In 1665, he asked the Prague consistory for permission to establish a chapel in these places, which was granted. The building quickly became very popular. The famous processions took place in it, in which the high nobility also took part. The most important people who visited the chapel include Emperor Leopold I. The chapel was in the possession of the Theatines until 1783, when their Prague dormitory was abolished. The chapel then passed into the private possession of Jan Count of Hennet in 1789. In 1791 it was consecrated and gradually fell into disrepair, it was partially restored between 1964-68, today it is unfortunately in a catastrophic state. Together with the nearby homestead Malovanka, it is the saddest view in the whole of Břevnov.
