★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piękna architektura katedry. Szkoda, że nie mogłem zobaczyć w środku. Generalnie zamknięty, msze św. chyba tylko w soboty. Przy tygodniowych wyjazdach raczej nie udało się trafić na sobotę.
Beautiful architecture of the cathedral. I wish I could see inside. Generally closed, masses probably only on Saturdays. With weekly trips, it was rather not possible to hit Saturday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kostel je v novogotickém stylu od jednoho z nejvýznamnějších českých architektů druhé poloviny 19.století - Josefa Schulze, mezi jehož díla patří velké pražské stavby jako Národní muzeum, Rudolfinum i Národní divadlo. Hraběnka Aloisie Czernin-Morzinová, majitelka zdejšího panství prosadila zadání projektu právě tomuto architektovi, a společně se svým synem Rudolfem uhradila 80% nákladů stavby kostela.
The church is in the neo-Gothic style by one of the most important Czech architects of the second half of the 19th century - Josef Schulz, whose works include large Prague buildings such as the National Museum, the Rudolfinum and the National Theater. Countess Aloisie Czernin-Morzinová, the owner of the local estate, enforced the project assignment for this architect, and together with her son Rudolf she paid 80% of the cost of building the church.
