Gertruda zde pak nalezla místo svého posledního odpočinku.
Doksanským sestrám svěřovali Přemyslovci na vychování královské dcery, například Anežku.
Opatství založené krátce před rokem 1144 existovalo až do roku 1782.
Po roce 1782 bylo opatství přeměněno v zámek a hospodářské objekty. Dochoval se románský kostel Narození Panny Marie, obvodové zdivo baziliky a pětilodní krypta. Kostel byl raně barokně upraven; novostavba prelatury, konventu a brána areálu vznikla na konci 18. století.
Premonstratensian Monastery was founded by Vladislav II. and his wife Gertrude as the second female monastery in our countries.
Gertrude then found her last resting place.
The Doksan sisters were entrusted by the Přemyslids to raise a royal daughter, such as Agnes.
Abbey founded shortly before 1144 existed until 1782.
After 1782 the abbey was converted into a chateau and farm buildings. The Romanesque Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, the perimeter walls of the basilica and the five-naved crypt have been preserved. The church was rebuilt in the early Baroque style; the new prelature, convent and gate of the complex were built at the end of the 18th century.
