★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Neviditelný kostel, přesněji řečeno dvoulodní kostel stětí svatého Jana Křtitele zazděný do hradeb pevnosti Vyšehrad je skutečnou kuriozitou. Vznikl v polovině 14. století, později byl pod přímou správou Karla IV. Během přestavby Vyšehradu na pevnost v 17. století byl obestavěn mohutnou pevnostní zdí, zkrácen, byla mu ubourána věžicka. V 18. s byla před něj vystavěna kaple panny Marie Šancovské. Když kostel přestal plnit svou funkci, bylo v něm skladiště, zbrojnice, ubytování pro chudinu a chlévy. Byl zasypán a na přelomu 19. a 20. století znovu objeven. Dnes je kostel prostý, vidět je možné kryptu, několik portálů a oltář neznámého účelu zdobený neznámými erbem. Větrání je zajištěno dvěmi zamřižovanými průduchy z ochozu pevnosti. Procházející zde netuší že chodí po střeše kostela a do pruduchů vhazují nedopalky cigaret. Přístup je možný jen po domluvě v nedalekém info centru Špička.
 The invisible church, more precisely the two-nave church of the Baptism of St. John the Baptist, walled up in the walls of the Vyšehrad fortress, is a real curiosity. It was founded in the middle of the 14th century, later under the direct administration of Charles IV. During the reconstruction of Vyšehrad into a fortress in the 17th century, it was surrounded by a massive fortress wall, shortened, and its turret was demolished. In the 18th century, the chapel of the Virgin Mary of Šancovská was built in front of him. When the church ceased to function, there was a warehouse, an armory, accommodation for the poor and barns. It was buried and rediscovered at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Today the church is simple, you can see the crypt, several portals and an altar of unknown purpose decorated with unknown coats of arms. Ventilation is provided by two barred vents from the gallery of the fortress. Passers-by have no idea that they are walking on the roof of the church and throwing cigarette butts into the cliffs. Access is possible only by arrangement in the nearby info center Špička.
