O tom svědčí dosud stojící bývalá fara z roku 1766 (dnes soukromý objekt) i socha sv. Jana Nepomuckého z roku 1769 od A. Jedličky z Prahy. Původní kostel byl nahrazen dnešní jednolodní poměrně rozměrnou pozdně barokní stavbou s půlválcovým závěrem roku 1787. Kostel obklopuje dosud funkční starý hřbitov s řadou zajímavých náhrobků z 19.–20. století. *** The church at the bottom of Krnsko existed probably already in the 12th century, but it´s form and development are unfortunately unknown, probably standing on the site of today´s church. This is evidenced by the still standing former parish office 1766 (now a private object) and the statue of St. Jan Nepomucký from 1769 by A. Jedlička from Prague. The original church was replaced by today's one-nave, relatively large, late-baroque building with a half-cylindrical finish in 1787. The church is surrounded by a functional old graveyard with a series of interesting tombstones from 19-20. century.
This beautiful late Baroque sacral building always seemed magical to me for two reasons: firstly, unfortunately due to its dilapidation, which gives the necessary patina and a sense of historical authenticity, secondly, the view of the valley and the church always catapulted me from the seat to the train window I was traveling. to Mladá Boleslav or Bohemian Paradise via the beautiful Stránovský viaduct. The church seemed to be struggling with the railway bridge over who actually dominates the valley of the Strenický brook, and I always thought that I had to visit here on my own to be able to see everything up close, but especially for more than about 12 seconds, which you will uncompromisingly delimit the path by rail through the viaduct. The church in the lower part of Krnsko probably existed already in the 12th century, but unfortunately we do not know its appearance and building development, it probably stood on the site of today's building. This is evidenced by the still standing former rectory from 1766 (now a private building) and the statue of St. Jan Nepomucký from 1769 by A. Jedlička from Prague. The original church was replaced by today's single-nave relatively large late Baroque building with a half-cylindrical end in 1787.
