★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kostelců je v Čechách mnoho, například Kostelec u Stříbra, Kostelec nad Vltavou, Kostelec nad Ohří, Zbořený Kostelec, Nový Kostelec, Vrbatův Kostelec a další. Své názvy většinou mají odvozeny od opevněných kostelů, tzv. kostelců (lat. castellum). Ten v Kostelci nad Labem byl zasvěcen svatému Martinovi a na jeho místě dnes stojí kostel gotický.
There are many Kostelecs in Bohemia, such as Kostelec u Stříbra, Kostelec nad Vltavou, Kostelec nad Ohří, Zbořený Kostelec, Nový Kostelec, Vrbatův Kostelec and others. They usually derive their names from fortified churches, so-called churches (lat. Castellum). The one in Kostelec nad Labem was dedicated to St. Martin and in its place today stands a Gothic church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Svou polohou na vršku nad obcí je tento gotický kostel jeho přirozenou dominantou. Současná podoba pochází z roku 1894, nicméně na jeho místě stával již románský opevněný kostel, který sloužil i k obraně obce. Kolem kostela se rozprostírá hřbitov s mnoha krásnými náhrobky, viniká Šlajsova hrobka a márnice. Zajímavostí je, že Josef II. kostel zrušil a tento sloužil jako prachárna nedalekých kasáren.
With its location on a hill above the village, this Gothic church is its natural landmark. The current form dates from 1894, however, in its place stood a Romanesque fortified church, which also served to defend the village. Around the church there is a cemetery with many beautiful tombstones, the vineyard Šlajsova tomb and the morgue. It is interesting that Joseph II. the church was abolished and it served as a powder room of nearby barracks.

Is there a holy peace and apparently a repaired organ (but it is said for a long time) why they do not have an organist? I know that there are folks who sing beautifully ❤️❤️was it a lady and gentleman at Christmas last year

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Церковь просто шикарная. Ее подступь невероятно красива. Расположена она посередине кладбища. Церковь в готическом стиле. Все там сказочно умиротворенно.
The church is just gorgeous. Her approach is incredibly beautiful. It is located in the middle of the cemetery. The church in the Gothic style. Everything is fabulously peaceful.
