Kostel svaté Máří Magdaleny

The first record of the existence of the original medieval church in Holan dates back to 1352, but apparently stood there even earlier. Today's late-baroque church. Mary Magdalene forms an unmistakable dominant of Holan, visible from a wide area. It was built between 1785 and 1788 on the site of the previous shrine and its patron was Joseph Franz Edler von Friedrich. The foundation of the church is connected with the restoration of the parish in the middle of the 18th century under the patronage of Jan Josef Kounic and the bishop of Litoměřice Prince Moritz Adolf. The construction plan of the present church was reportedly preserved in the Děčín branch of the Litoměřice Regional Archive. Right on the square stands a very nice Baroque church built in 1789, which replaced the older temple. The church was surrounded by a cemetery with a stone wall. Beautiful is the view from the other side of the pond, where the church and township is reflected in the waters of the pond.

Baroque church of St. Mary Magdalene was built in the late 18th century. probably on the site of the original building from the 14th century. There is a vault decorated with frescoes about the life of Mary Magdalene - made by the Jesuit painter Josef Kramolín. It is an unmistakable landmark of the Netherlands.
