The remains of the defunct castle on the banks of the Holanský Pond are hardly noticeable today and if you do not know about them in advance, you will probably pass the place unnoticed. The castle was founded in 1437–1438 by Sigismund of Vartenberk. The first written record dates back to 1440. It was probably inhabited until the mid-16th century, it is not known when it was abandoned. Most of the remains of the castle disappeared as a result of alterations that have been underway since the early 19th century. Only small fragments of masonry from local sandstone joined by lime mortar have been preserved. It is assumed that the layout of the castle was two-piece, but only the area of ​​the castle core has been preserved and any bailey has completely disappeared. Access to the castle probably led to the site of the stone bridge from 1801.
