Moc hodní a především lidští jsou i místní kněží, každému návštěvu doporučuji.

Velmi zajímavé jsou zazděné renesanční náhrobní kameny původních majitelů panství, rodiny Kölblů, které jsem byly přeneseny ze zaniklého hřbitova a kostela sv. Vavřince u Českého Újezda. V okolí kostela se nachází i další drobné památky, tři smírčí kameny nebo památník obětem první světové války.
An important landmark of the town of Chlumec. Very interesting are the walled Renaissance tombstones of the original owners of the estate, the Kölbl family, which I was transferred from the defunct cemetery and the church of St. Vavřince near Český Újezd. In the vicinity of the church there are other small monuments, three stones of reconciliation or a memorial to the victims of the First World War.
