Kostel sv. Jiljí stojí v areálu hřbitova obehnaném kamennou ohradní zdí. Jádro kostela, zbudované v gotickém slohu, pochází z 1. poloviny 14. století. V polovině 18. století byl částečně upraven do barokní podoby. Mobiliář kostela pochází ze 17.-19. století. V areálu hřbitova stojí krásná dřevěná hranolová zvonice z roku 1793. Naproti kostelu se nachází barokní fara z roku 1740, za zmínku stojí i krásná barokní socha sv. Linharta. V seznamu nemovitých kulturních památek je kromě kostela svatého Jiljí, sochy svatého Linharta a dvoupatrové dřevěné zvonice zapsán též náhrobek Františka Josefa Gerstnera. V kostele se konají pravidelné bohoslužby každou neděli od 14:00. Church of st. Giles is located in the cemetery surrounded by a stone enclosure wall. There are regular worship services in the church every Sunday from 14:00.

Překrásný, původně gotický kostelík ze 14.století je obklopen hřbitovem a stojí pod zámeckou zdí, kousek od něj je dřevěná zvonice z roku 1793. Kostel byl v roce 1786 barokně upraven. Před kostelem je socha sv. Linharta z roku 1740. Na hřbitově je mimo jiné hrob F. J. Gerstnera spojeného se stavbou železnic.
The beautiful, originally Gothic church from the 14th century is surrounded by a cemetery and stands under the castle wall, not far from it is a wooden bell tower from 1793. The church was renovated in the Baroque style in 1786. In front of the church is a statue of St. Linhart from 1740. The cemetery contains, among other things, the grave of F. J. Gerstner connected with the construction of railways.

Na místním hřbitově je pochován František Josef Gerstner, který tady v Mladějově u své dcery zemřel 25. června 1832. Byl to významný fyzik, matematik a také autor projektu železniční trati spojující Vltavu s Dunajem... Stavbu koněspřežné dráhy řídil jeho syn František Antonín, otevírána byla postupně od roku 1827.
František Josef Gerstner is buried in the local cemetery. He died here in Mladějov on June 25, 1832. He was an important physicist, mathematician, and also the author of the railway line connecting the Vltava with the Danube ... it was opened gradually from 1827.
