Opravili kapli, královský a purkrabský palác. Fifteen niche chapels of the cross-way built at the foot of the mountain peak were built by Countess Anna of Valdštejn in 1686. The chapels were first decorated with paintings and later carvings with scenes of the crucifixion of Christ - a cross way from an unknown author. The woodcuts are in the whole set of fourteen - a statue of the Virgin Mary was placed in the fifteenth chapel at the foot of the castle. The woodcuts come from the late 17th or early 18th century and have been considered lost since the 1960s. They are in a very preserved state, they have dimensions of 64 x 100 cm. Today they are located in the cloister of the Museum in Česká Lípa. The first monks came to Bezdez Castle in 1661. They repaired the chapel, the royal palace and the burgrave. In 1666 they brought in a copy of the black Madonna of Montserrat who was declared a miracle. There were tens of thousands of pilgrims coming to see Madonna, and the castle became a place of pilgrimage.

Křížová cesta vede z obce Bezděz na stejnojmenný hrad. Výklenkové kaple jsou umístěné podél přístupové cesty. Kaple byly původně vyzdobeny nejprve malbami a později dřevořezbami s výjevy ukřižování Krista.
The Stations of the Cross leads from the village of Bezděz to the castle of the same name. Alcove chapels are located along the access road. The chapels were originally decorated first with paintings and later with wood carvings depicting the crucifixion of Christ. Currently, those alcove chapels have been empty for years. The wood carvings are located in the cloister of the museum in Česká Lípa. There were fourteen woodcarvings, and a statue of the Virgin Mary was placed in the fifteenth chapel at the foot of the castle.
