This is probably why it is a popular place for many Praguers, even though it is somewhat away from large Prague housing estates. In 2004 alone, it was visited by more than half a million visitors. The dominant feature of the Hvězda branch is a summer house in the shape of a six-pointed star in the western part. The division of the field is also characteristic, which is also interesting for the width of the main roads. The high enclosure wall hides an extensive forest, but also a new pond and many natural attractions and attractions from Czech history. The composition of the local mixed forest is very close to the natural composition of the forest and the forest in the game reserve is a refuge for many rare and endangered animals. Some old specimens of oaks, beeches and horse chestnuts are really unique and belong to the memorable trees. Maintenance and administration In the forest park, prunings and inspections of stands and tree planting are carried out as part of forest regeneration. History The Hvězda game reserve has attracted extraordinary attention from time immemorial. At the beginning, it was perhaps a pagan sacrifice, later there was a small fortress on the edge of a slope above the Litovický stream. The game reserve was founded in 1534 by Emperor Ferdinand I. The park originated from the Malejov forest, which Ferdinand I bought from the Břevnov Monastery. The field is bordered by a fence wall through which two gates pass, Břevnovská and Libocká. In 1555, he grew up in the field of summer house construction according to the design of Ferdinand of Tyrol. This younger son of Ferdinand I worked as a governor in Bohemia from 1548. The summer house was built on the floor plan of a six-pointed star, inside it was decorated with fine stucco. On the slope behind the summer house, a terrace with an ornamental garden was created. Since its inception, the park has served as a royal hunting ground, but has also been used for ceremonial occasions such as coronations or diplomatic visits. However, the long and dramatic history of the royal branch includes not only periods of glory and splendor, but also hard periods of war, devastation by foreign and own troops, plunder, burning and large-scale felling. These war events include the unfortunate battle of the White Mountain, which culminated on November 8, 1620 at the professional wall in a place called Světlička. Troops also camped in the field during the following Thirty Years' War and later, when Maria Theresa fought for the Austrian heritage. The condition of the field was very poor after 1742, so it had to be replanted and the roads also had to be repaired. However, the field was not restored until after 1763. It lasted several decades, but the hunt did not return here, only in part of the field a pheasantry was created and a small garden of the character of a Italian libosad was created right next to the summer house. The summer house was abandoned and after it was in the years 1785 - 1874 according to the instructions of Joseph II. modified, served as a gunpowder depot. In 1862, Hvězda passed into the administration of the castle governor's office. The gunpowder warehouse was cleared in 1874 and the summer house was restored. During the first half of the 19th century, larger areas of the field were reforested, after 1923 the vistas were released and later expanded. In the years 1986-2000, the Hvězda summer house was reconstructed. In 2005, a new pond Ve Hvězdě was built in the park.
