★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mariánský sloup byl vztyčen na prostoru dnešního Palackého náměstí v roce 1748. Na krásném sloupu je vyobrazena socha Panny Marie s Ježíškem v ruce. U paty sloupu stojí na podstavcích sochy sv. Václava, sv. Floriána, sv. Apolináře a sv. Gottharda. Autorem soch (kromě Immaculaty) je B. A. Katterbauer, autorem architektonického základu kutnohorský kameník Huliknauer. Pylon včetně postamentu je replikou z 1. poloviny 20. století. Jedná se o umělecky hodnotnou sochařskou práci, tvořící dominantu náměstí.
The Marian Column was erected in the area of today's Palackého Square in 1748. The beautiful pillar depicts a statue of the Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus in her hand. At the foot of the column the statues of St. Wenceslas, st. Florian, sv. Apolinář a sv. Gotthard are placed. The author of the statues (except Immaculata) is B. A. Katterbauer, the architectural foundation author is stonemason Huliknauer from Kutná Hora. Pylon including postament is a replica from the first half of the 20th century. It is an artistically valuable sculptural work, which dominates the whole square.
