Budova pochází z roku 1699, kdy zde měl být postaven piaristický klášter, avšak stihlo se jen průčelí. Zbudována jen Loreta jako poutní místo. Později budova sloužila jako špitál, chudobinec, byty.... 2001 rekonstrukce. The beautifully renovated Loreta building now serves as an exposition of the City Museum. The building dates back to 1699, when a Piarist monastery was to be built here, but only the facade was made. Only Loreto was built as a pilgrimage site. Later the building served as a hospital, poorhouse, apartments .... 2001 reconstruction.

Když jsem viděl fotky zanedbané Lorety, kde ještě nedávno dokonce byli byty, musím ocenit jak se povedlo všechno zrekonstruovat. Beautiful collection. Pleasant Mr. Guide. When I saw pictures of a neglected Loreto, where even recently they were flats, I have to appreciate how everything was reconstructed.

It was a tour where we returned to our childhood and youth! And the guide was a very nice gentleman and told us very much about everything.

Objekt byl vystavěn v letech 1717-1719 původně jako škola a kolej piaristického řádu, jehož posláním byla bezplatná výchova dětí v katolickém církevním učení. Po přerušení, zřejmě z důvodu stavby zámku, byla Loreta dokončena roku 1740. Prostory ambitů jsou určeny k rozmístění historické zemědělské techniky a informují o historii Chlumce (například velké selské povstání v roce 1775) nebo o aktivitách chlumeckého ostrostřeleckého sboru. V prvním patře Lorety je jedna místnost upravena jako stará selská jizba, další je věnována řemeslům a cechům, můžete se tu seznámit s významnými chlumeckými osobnostmi. Pěkná expozice a hezký program v rámci Dožínek Very nice and quiet place, unfortunately hot today like a penny. But nothing can be done about it. Vstupné symbolické. Museum in an unusual building. An awesome guide who will give you a superb interpretation that is not bored. Lots of old farm machinery, city history ... Entry symbolic.

Určitě stojí za výlet. vstupné na 1 osoba/50 korun It's worth it .. we were excited..The guide, he was unrivaled he spent a lot of time with us, he explained everything to us and when the condition of tools and machines allowed it so he demonstrated .. Definitely worth the trip. entrance fee for 1 person / 50 crowns
