Ale první historická zmínka o vsi Radotín je z listiny českého krále Vladislava II. vydané někdy mezi lety 1156–1168, kde je připomenut přívoz a brod v Radotíně přes Berounku (v té době nazývané Mže). Obec se začala rozvíjet v průběhu 19. století, zejména pak po zprovoznění železnice roku 1862, kdz se začala stávat významným průmyslovým střediskem.

But the first historical mention of the village Radotín is from the deed of the Czech King Vladislav II. issued sometime between 1156–1168, where the ferry and ford in Radotín on Berounka river (at that time called Mže) are mentioned. The village began to develop during the 19th century, especially after the railway was put into operation in 1862, and thus became an important industrial center.
