V atomovém krytu, odolném proti zbraním hromadného ničení, mohlo zůstat naráz až 500 osob po dobu 3 dnů. Až do roku 1993 jej spravovala armáda a byl přísně tajný.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old atomic shelter in the middle of the center of Brno. Untill 1993 classified as top-secret, nowadays open to the public. Very interesting, good information both in Czech and English (also all the videos). Good to show also to older kids to let them understand what the cold war was, how it was during communism.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went just for the museum, and I already liked the sign outside where it said something like that entrance is free in case of nuclear emergency. The hostel reception part definitely had a heavy metal vibe, which I like. the museum was very nice although the tv's with info made too much noise so it was hard to get an atmosferic impression. We spent a nice hour inside, looking at the rooms and stuff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting place in the heart of old Brno. It was a fall out shelter for the Czech leadership in the Cold War, although it was initially constructed by the Nazis in World War II. There's a short, self-guided tour of the facility. There are video monitors, many of which have English subtitles for the dialogue. Since the primary audience for the facility tours are Czechs, not much signage is in English.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most cool place in Brno. I must visit again!
It’s not for everyone so if you are posh don’t come there but if you want new experience stay her for a night or two.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and authentic place. Maybe not the best place if you are looking for comfort, because everything is old style: rooms are chilly and a bit noisy because of air conditioning, showers are old style etc... But the place is clean and tidy, and its overall a fun experience if you plan to stay for 1 or 2 nights

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place with history. Bunker is also a hostel, so you can spend the time in Brno in very specific environment. In museum you can find original equipment from times of WWII. Bunker is prepared for 600 people. Worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really amazing place. I visited both the museum and to stay here for 1 night in the dorm.
The dorm doesn't feel like it's been updated except to add showers, which really gives you the bunker experience. I slept in a big heavy army sleeping bag which kept me warm against the otherwise cool temperature of the bunker.
The breakfast buffet was reasonably good.
I also had fun chatting with the Czech lady at the reception. She gave me an overview of the city and also cleared up how to pronounce Brno. Thanks!
