The old mountain village seemed like a fairy tale when it started to open when the road from Malečov descended. Its elongated development extends in a basin at the southeastern foot of Mount Kukla (674 m) in the central part of the Bohemian Central Mountains. The name Tašov is probably derived from the old male name Tas - Tasův dvůr. The first written mention of the seat comes from the end of the 12th century, when it was donated by Grand Duke Hroznatá to the Order of St. John. From the 14th century until 1568, Tašov gradually belonged to Střekov, Velký Březno and Svádov. Today there live around 150 inhabitants.
