★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Památník připomíná Josefa von Löschnera, kadaňského rodáka z mlynářské rodiny, ale také lékaře, balneologa, později i děkana a rektora pražské univerzity a osobního lékaře císaře Ferdinanda I. Za své zásluhy byl oceněn státními vyznamenáními – Řádem Františka Josefa (1850) a Řádem sv. Štěpána (1867), v roce 1870 dokonce i baronským titulem. Zemřel ve Velichově u Karlových Varů.
The monument commemorates Josef von Löschner, a native from a miller's family of Kadaň, but also a doctor, balneologist, later dean and rector of the University of Prague and personal physician of Emperor Ferdinand I. For his merits he was awarded state honors - the Order of Franz Joseph (1850) and the Order of St. Stephen (1867). He died in Velichov near Karlovy Vary.
