5 stars not for what it is but for what has been preserved so we can not forget. I think I am a strong person. I belive I have power and can control my emotions in public at least. But there is a point when it is just too much. Not to my mind but my being. Your body will cry and you will feel horrible when leaving. And yet.... I belive it is necessary for us to continue telling the story. History had a way of repeating itself. But some stuff is just too dark. Too awful to be repeated. One more thing. If you are reading this review and are considering going. Please for the sake of honour and respect to the dead and the living. Treat it not as a attraction. Treat it with respect. Don't talk about what you will do after. Don't laugh and ignore all those people laying there. Dress up in a way to honour the dead. That means wear modest clothing. Cover up and guys wear a hat or a kippah. It is not too much to ask. I think this is something the guides should tell you. But after watching people pass by....they don't. Just be different okay

A must place to visit and understand the evils of the Nazi.

Cruel story of how young Jewish men worked 12 hour shifts to cremate their fellow citizens of Terezin that had died from starvation, diseases, torture and murder. While Terezin wasn't a death camp, the cruelty of the German empire was everywhere to be seen...

It is hard to be positive about such a horrible place but I think it needs to be there and for people to visit as a reminder

Important to remember these dark days of history. This is about a 45 min trip outside of Prague. Not as extensive as Auschwitz, but worth the trip.

Check the opening times twice at the museum because we found it locked at 4 p.m. and were disappointed. Outside the crematorium there is an audio guide at your disposal explaining its history.

Sad place that shows the eventful history of Terezin. Make sure you visit the other areas (ghetto and little fortress) in order to get full understanding of how they all connected together.
