Zajímavost č.1 Do roku 1985 se nacházela místní osada čítající cca 20 rodinných domků,která byla zbořena a zavezena hlušinou z Dolu Paskov.Lidé kteří tam bydleli mohou přiložit foto zaniklé vesnice.
Zajímavost č.2 Železniční trať Ostrava - Frýdek vedla původně rovně.K vůli postupující haldě byl plán zarovnat haldu s protějším kopce na katastru Řepišť,Proto byla trať přeložena na současnou podobu.
