 Peter the Great was in Karlovy Vary for treatment in 1711 and 1712. During the rest, I climbed the mountain every day. The place of his daily ascents was named Petrovskaya Gora and a small memorial to the Russian emperor was built there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöner kostenloser Aussichtspunkt, zu dem man nicht mit dem Auto gelangt, sondern etwa 20 Minuten hochlaufen muss (Stufen und Waldwege). Besonders zu Sonnenaufgang empfehlenswert.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zajímavé místo zbudované na památku návštěvy ruského cara v KV. Zeshora je super výhled na část KV a kolonády. Výstup lze spojit s návštěvou Jeleního skoku, dalších altánkù a pamětihodností, či se občerstvit v nedaleké hospůdce.
An interesting place built in memory of the Russian Tsar's visit to the KV. From above is a great view of part of the KV and the colonnade. The ascent can be combined with a visit to Jelení skok, other gazebos and sights, or refreshments in a nearby pub.
