Spa Hotel Anglický Dvůr

We stayed in this hotel between 30 and 31/01/2013. We did not have any reservation,. We found the hotel by searching on foot. By looking at the hotel from outside we thought that it was a very nice hotel. Indeed the building is wonderful. The first disappointment came from the lady at the reception. She did not speak any English at all and the worst is that she did not make any effort in order to understand and to be understood. But in their site they declare that they speak several European and not only, languages!!! With our poor German we asked for a double room for one night. We got it at the price of 140 euros on B/B basis. When we went to the room 309 we were very much surprised to see a horrible room, very small with old used furniture and the worst were the beds.Old, no comfortable at all and each time we were turning or even slightly moving on the bed, they were crunching so much that we thought that we would wake up all the neighbors of the hotel rooms. We had a very bad night. Our recommendation: stay far away from this hotel. It is not worthy not even for 50 euros! It is the worst hotel we stayed the last 30 years!!!

We fell in love with this place and wished to have stayed there longer. Were greeted with such warmth and care. The food was phenomenal. Best chief (thanks you, we loved everything)!! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was marvelous. The entire personnel were so welcoming and simply amazing. Everything was 11/10. This was our first time coming here but definitely not the last. We can't wait to come back again! Thank you guys for everything. HIGHLY recommend!!! From Oleg and Sveta Mailov

Location is fantastic 5 minute walk from city center, very quiet area. Room was large enough and had everything needed for a vacation stay. A kettle would be a nice addition to each room so we can make a teaor something. Breakfast does not offer a lot of options but there is enough for everyone (maybe not for vegetarians) and above average quality. Staff is very friendly. Disliked · A few things: - WI-FI is so weak and slow it practically does not exist - shower gels are provided as one use plastic packs, 1 per person. Not enough to even wash half of a body, not to mention hair. Recommendation: find another way to provide shower gel, can even be squeeze bottles screwed on the wall but the mini packs are completely useless. A reasonable amount for a full body shower would be like 5-6 packs per person. - throw out the spring based mattresses. They were trendy about 15 years ago. Beds were not very comfortable, every once in a while I felt some spring pressing against my ribs. - the black liquid served as coffee is to be avoided. Please change your coffee provider because it is absolutely terrible. It was the first time in my life I drank a coffee that was bitter AND sour at the same time. I did not think it is possible and I have drank a lot of bad coffee in my life. Another dislike, but something the hotel has no control over, the closest underground guarded parking is 15 minute walk. There is no chance to park next to the hotels in that area or anywhere in old city center for a fact so be prepared to leave your car far - NONSTOP underground parking, parking next to Dolni Nadrazi, Therme parking IF you have incredible luck and find a free spot.

Great position, in the city center. Offering parking by prior arrangement. Very good breakfasts every day. Helpfull staff. Also offering sauna, massages and other spa procedures. Room equipment is a bit older but fully functional without defects. Prices are not so expensive, comparing other hotels in the area.

Nice room with a beautiful view, good breakfast and excellent wellness.

The staff is great: friendly and very helpful. Location of the hotel is perfect - in a nice quiet street not far from main walking street and the park, the building exterior is awesome but interior especially bathroom is dated. Breakfast is average. Street parking should be reserved prior arrival
