Patří jemu dík a nehynoucí sláva.“ K oběma památkám vede žlutě značená cesta z obce Libovice. Not far from the tourist crossroad Kejkol in the forest between the villages of Kvílice and Libovice stands the monument of Eduard Bayer on a tiny hill. The hill is scattered over the former coal mining. The first attempts at coal mining in the area of Libovice were in progress already in 1775. Prague's native František Bayer was responsible for the development of mining, and also a coal miner´s settlement was founded near a mining settlement because of him. As a thank you for saving his son, who fell into a flooded shaft and nothing happened to him, he built a chapel with a statue of St. John Nepomuk near the settlement. Since then the settlement has been called St. John. After father's death Eduard continued his further development of mining. After his death in 1871 the mining was terminated and later the mining settlement disappeared. Tpday there is only a chapel standing near the monument. The monument was built in 1879 by his wife and grateful miners. There is a badly readable writting on the monument: "In the field of war and in the work of peace, he was as good a friend to all of us, he was father to his miners. Thanksgiving and never ending glory all belongs to him." There is a yellow marked path leading from the village of Libovice to both monuments.

There is an illegible inscription on the monument: “In the field of war and in peace work, he was equally excellent to all of us, and to his miners as father. He deserves thanks and immortal glory. ”The yellow-marked path from the village of Libovice leads to both monuments.
