M	Martin Karas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Krásné klidné muzeum. Děti se zde naučí víc z dějin, než ve škole ? V pokladně se zeptejte, v kolik hodin pouštějí orchestrion. Je to i s výkladem a stojí to za to ? Beautiful quiet museum. Children will learn more about history here than at school ? Ask at the box office what time the orchestra is playing. It is also with the interpretation and it is worth it ?
J	John on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Velmi pěkné muzeum, které pokud jste v Písku doporučuji navštívit. Vstupné lze platit jak hotově, tak i kartou. Nerozumím poplatku za fotografování, proč? Vždyť každá zveřejněná fotka je vždy dobrá reklama a to je zdarma, ale chápu, že je to zdroj příjmů.

L	Lee Porebski on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This local museum is a surprise gem. Exhibits are well separated into groups such as The Arts, Sciences, etc. and these groups into subgroups. Very low entry fee for what you get. Displays are beautifully put together. The only minus for me is that although it is multilingual, English isn't included. Upon entry you are presented with a beautiful guide book which has many details of the exhibits. This book is not for sale and must be turned in as you leave. I would have been very happy to purchase a copy. They do have a gift shop but very little is available in English. I hope this is just a development issue since even guide posts in the city center are in Czech and English, something you don't see even in Prague.

While we did get a small English booklet as guide throughout the museum, it felt like some details were missing. These details are probably given if you understand Czech, but I cannot day that for sure. Still worth a visit if you go to Písek!
