★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super nápad, doporučuji navštívit všechny pražské póly. Západní pól se nachází kousek od silnice po polní cestě k letišti. A pokud u pólu chvilku počkáte můžete vidět letadla jak přistávají a startují z dost velké blízkosti.
Great idea, I recommend visiting all the Prague poles. The West Pole is located just off the road on a dirt road to the airport. And if you wait a while at the pole, you can see the planes landing and taking off from a fairly close distance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sam o sobe je to jen betonovy sloupek,ale na zajimavem miste :) Blizko letiste :) takze lze spojit s prochazkou kolem plotu a sledovat odletajici i pristavajici letadla. Ja od zavory z hlavni silnice ulice k amazonu dosel az k odstavenym letadlum u Hostivic. Cca 8km cela trasa od sloupku k Hostivicim celkem 16km. Samozrejme se da zaparkovat i o odbocku blize ,kdyz je otevrena zavora. Nechapu lidi co maj potrebu zajet az k mistu. Uz takhle je tam. Misto travy jen uslapana hlina. Na druhou stranu smer Kněževes jsem nesel. Tam je val na sledovani letadel nebo na spouste mist v plote jsou foto otvory. Da se jet taky na kole sem tam teren ,ale nic narocneho na silnicni kolo to dle meho ale neni. Smer na Hostivice je taky jeden val na sledovani primo u drahy a o kus dal je velka hromada hliny(kopec) z ktereho je taky pekny vyhled ,ale je od letiste dal takze lepsi je mit dalekohled. Prikladam par fotek z okoli.
In itself, it's just a concrete pillar, but in an interesting place :) Near the airport :) so you can connect with a walk around the fence and watch the departing and landing planes. I reached from the barrier from the main street road to the Amazon to the decommissioned planes near Hostivice. About 8km the whole route from the pillar to Hostivice a total of 16km. Of course, you can also park on a turn near when it is open at the bottom. I don't understand people who need to drive to the place. It's already there. The place of the grass is just trampled clay. On the other side, I carried the direction of Kněževes. There is a rampart for tracking planes or on lots of places in the fence there are photo holes. You can also ride a bike here and there in the terrain, but I don't think anything difficult about a road bike. The direction to Hostivice is also one rampart to watch right next to the track and a piece away is a large pile of clay (hill) from which there is also a nice view, but it is from the airport so it is better to have binoculars. I enclose a few photos from the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After getting down jenec station walk 3km to this place. The half of distance you have to walk on the main road, so be careful while you walk. The pole is not very close to the airport fence as shown in picture but very close to a tree, the road that leads to the pole is dumped with cow dung on both sides and be prepared to wash your shoes if you walk, for car commuters nothing to risk. unfortunately I went after a rainy morning and luckily I manged to wash the dirt in the stagnated water :)
