The only spring that we found in the whole spa is warm, but it has no significant taste, in addition, it says that the water is not drinkable, which we found out only after everyone tasted it :-)

A healing spring emblazoned with rumors that it was discovered in 762 by the sick scalded pig Kolostůje, which cured the spring. However, it is known that healing springs were already known at the turn of the century. To this day, water is used for healing.

Tradiční místo Teplic. Chtělo by to ovšem daleko více péče!? V posledních letech tam moc chuť pozvat své hosty nemám!??
The traditional place of Teplice. But it would take far more care! In recent years there is not much desire to invite my guests! ??

Quite interesting history of this place. According to a legend mentioned in the Chronicle of the Czech Václav Hájek of Libočany in 762, it was discovered after the pigs of the colostoys were scalded in the pool and thus found hot springs. In fact, Teplice's hot springs were already known at the turn of the era, as evidenced by the gold Celtic and Roman coins found in the crevice of the spring. Water not for drinking!

At the side of the spa house of the prehistoric thermal spring, in the aisle opposite the Dean's church of St. John the Baptist, you will find a niche with a ceramic relief of a pig's head, from which the water of the oldest and strongest spring of Teplice flows. According to the legend mentioned in the Chronicle of Czech Wenceslas Hájek of Libočany, it was discovered in 762, when the Kolostoj's pigs was scalded in hot water source while grazing in the woods. In fact the Teplice warm springs have been known at least at the turn of the Christian epoch, as evidenced by the golden Celtic and Roman coins found in the rock crack of a springs in 1879. Spa springs in Teplice have been using Thermal sources called "Pravřídlo" a "Hynie". The temperature of the hot water is 39-44 ° Celsius. In all spa houses, springs are used primarily for healing.
