V roce 2002 nahradila původní meteorologický sloupek v prostoru Mírového náměstí, skrytý pod sklo-ocelovou kopulí. Společně s ocelovou kolonádou kolem kupole patří k novodobým úpravám prostoru náměstí Míru, v jehož místě stávala až do r. 1946 stará čtvrť obytných domů v centru původního města.
An atypical fountain is in the shape of a high transparent tube from which the stream climbs into a small pool. In 2002, it replaced the original meteorological column in the area of Mírové Square, hidden under a glass-steel dome. Together with the steel colonnade around the dome it belongs to one of the modern modifications of náměstí Míru (the square of Peace), in which the old quarter of the residential houses stood in the center of the original town until 1946.
