Our story

The Giovanni restaurant and pizzeria is located in the heart of Prague, 40 metres from the Astronomical Clock in Old Town Square. Kožná street is one of the few streets characteristic of Old Prague.

It is a small place, with big tradition, hidden in an alleyway. It's hard to find but when you do - it's absolutely worth it.

The restaurant excels in its high quality food and unique atmosphere. The owner offers only original food prepared from Italian ingredients of the highest quality and because it is a family-led business, prices are very reasonable. The food is always fresh and prepared with love using family recipes.

The place is beautiful as well, the decoration is amazing. You feel as in an old tavern or sth. And the staff was super nice and funny. I’m from Argentina and the waiter talked to us in Spanish, which doesn’t happen very often in Prague.

Staff was more interested in their own life than in service. Attitude was like was somebody “ forcing” to bring food. Personal needs training how to behave with clients.

Me and my family have stopped for a snack one day here and than come for three days straight ever since ? the food is amazing, pizza is a real thing prepared by a Sicilian Chef. Waiter was very nice and was there whenever we needed him. He had a sharp eye to details and we really felt that someone is taking a proper care of us. We enjoyed the food and stay very much. I can totally reccommend it.

The food was delicious, fresh, and mouth-watering. The price is reasonable for this quality. I didn't expect this quality from an Italian restaurant in Prague.
