The Slavic fort was located on a promontory, a plateau above sandstone rocks. It also included the present-day village of Hradisko, where the mounds were passing through today's village square and around the church of st. Jiří. The Slavs inhabited it from the 8th to the 13th centuries, and sometimes it is also thought that the famous Canburg Castle, where the invasion of the Franconian King Charles was stopped in 805, stood here. However, the settlement of the area dates back to long past. You will find an information panel on the yellow tourist sign behind the church of Sts. George in the direction of the rock walls Hýtky. Beautiful place.

Archeologické nálezy kamenných odštěpků, hlavně pazourků z čediče a křemene dokazují, že první osídlení hradiště proběhlo v době kamenné, v mladším paleolitu před 25 tisíci lety. Hradsko is a fortified settlement from the Early and Late Bronze Age, but also an early medieval Slavic settlement. Archaeological findings of stone pieces, mainly flints of basalt and quartz prove that the first settlement of the fort took place in the Stone Age, in the younger Paleolithic, 25 thousand years ago. The fortified settlement was also inhabited in the Bronze and La Tene period. The findings of shards of ceramics and wells on the stakes of the building prove the presence of the Únětice culture in the years 1600 to 500 BC. The discovery of a blue cobalt glass bracelet with ribbing at the local fortified settlement is also evidenced by the presence of the Celts in the 2nd and 1st centuries BC. Slavs settled on the hillfort around the 7th century. The real fortified hillfort was built here by the Pšovan tribe in the eighth century and extended in the ninth century. In the following centuries the headquarters of the Pšovans moved to Mělník. Today, the land is privately owned, agriculturally used, so unfortunately it is forbidden to enter.
