★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pěkný park vytvořil hezkou tečku, když jsem z prostoru hlavního náměstí odcházel na vlakové nádraží. Měl jsem ještě chvilku před odjezdem, tak jsem se prošel parkem v podvečerním slunci, kdy se už všechno listí barvilo do zlatova. Moc příjemný zážitek.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Menší park pod centrem města. Park je podlouhlý kolem říčky Šporky, na jeho okraji je městské kino. U kina je v parku památník Bedřicha Smetany, který upomíná na jméno parku (Smetanovy sady). Park byl revitalizován za pomoci peněz z EU. Většina pěšin je vydlážděná, trávníky jsou udržované. K dispozici je několik laviček. Záchodky na severní straně parku jsou opravené, často i otevřené. Aktuálně jsou v parku koše i s pytlíky pro psí exkrementy. U zašlé stavby kina je zašlá fontána. Parkování v okolních ulicích. Bezdomovci se zde nevyskytují, většina lidí parkem pouze prochází.
Smaller park below the city center. The park is elongated around the river Sporka, on its edge is a city cinema. Next to the cinema, there is a memorial to Bedřich Smetana in the park, which recalls the name of the park (Smetanovy sady). The park was revitalized with EU money. Most of the paths are paved, the lawns are maintained. There are several benches. Toilets on the north side of the park are repaired, often open. Currently, there are baskets in the park with bags for dog excrement. There is a faded fountain by the dilapidated cinema building. Parking in the surrounding streets. There are no homeless people here, most people just walk through the park.
