The bronze sculpture of Antal Stašek and Ivan Olbracht is located in Bítouchovská Street, at the entrance to Palackého sady. The work dates from 1960, its author was Josef Malejovský. The sculptural group called Father and Son is one of his most successful. The work commemorates the stay of both writers in Semily. Antal Stašek, real name Antonín Zeman (1843 - 1931), was not only a writer, but also a lawyer, teacher, journalist, director of amateurs and director of the Municipal Savings Bank in Semily. His son Kamil Zeman (1882 - 1952) used the well-known pseudonym Ivan Olbracht. He not only wrote prose, but also published in the press and translated German literature.
