Spa Hotel Thermal

Arrived 14:00, The room Bad a nice view, the interior looks old and had traces of use. Park better in front of the house to not ship your stuff for hours into your room. The room was very warm because the air condition isn't working. The stuff told me that all the time guests complain about. After checking another apartment which was in same condition we consider to leave the hotel at 20:00. Also the fridge in the room was warm and not working but was fixed after 20 minutes from hotel services. But the drinks remain warm, they don't switch them through cold ones, we had to wait a night was the recommendation. The pool is for birds and not that big. If you use the propagated smartphone app like me maybe you get an answer to your posts to the management. :-) If you my friend and you're not I will also recommend you not to stay there. Don't waste 240EUR per night. Hope you have a better stay in this City.

We arrived very excited as we had planned this family holiday a year out, but our excited melted as soon as we were greeted (rather should say- not greeted) by hotel staff. Our check-in lady had a scowl on her face and seemed really put out that she had to check us in. I guess she had better things to do other than her job. We then went to check out the spa services on Level 2. Once again greeted by a lady who was clearly having a bad day. Instead of helping the 5 of us choose a spa service, she was annoyed and we decided that it would be best to leave her alone rather than ask questions. The hotel is in disrepair. My father helped build this hotel back in 1975 (he is 89 years old now) and he was excited that much of the hotel remained unchanged!!! That was a source of amusement to us. The rests of Karlovy Vary is gorgeous and if you walk into any of the other hotels (which we did) they will greet you with a smile. Not Hotel Thermal. Stay away. You will enjoy your stay more in one of the many other hotels. We tried to not let the hotel ruin our vacation and booked spa services at one of the other hotels.

Came all the way and is closed, why not at least update your website like everyone else.. Looks awful too, boarded up and overgrown. Edit: In response to your comment, this simply isnt true! If it is, then go ahead and share a picture of your pool with water in it and the front entrance! The pool is empty, there is no spa and you are closed.

Outstanding hotel with great location and rich variety of services. Rooms are nice and tidy, with balconies, locker, great view, fridge and much more. It has private parking as well. Special thing is of course a variety of SPA treatments, huge pool, saunas, IR cabin, jacuzzi and many more. Breakfasts are amazing as well, they ofer wide meat selection and tons of healthy food options . We ordered a dinner once as well and it was great. Also, every evening there is a live music events, we were lucky to see one local Czech band who played great rock'n'roll music with great vocals and perfect sound. Overall, the hotel has everything for the relaxing and entertaining stay. Definitelly recommend to everyone!

Good room and good hotel but some things could be better like insolate rooms BCS I could hear my neighbors and they do not have thermal , you should pay.

The problems with this hotel have started even before my arrival. A week before the trip I've sent a mail about safe boxes in the room. That week has passed and two weeks of my stay- and still no reply. Update: I've returned home. Still no reply. When we've arrived I've asked the receptoion about stationary PC with net, as advertised on their site. Was pointed at a password-locked piece of... 386, with no access given. I've asked for an internet-cafe or something and was told that there's no such thing in Karlovy Vary. The next day I've found the town library across the street- with everything I needed, no thanks to the receptionist. My single room had a cojoined family room-through a paper-thin side door. First it was a family with children- and I could hear the father tell them bedtime stories. The kids were quite playful. When I've complained at the lobby about the noise, I was asked "do you want me to call security on that little kid?" No, but you can at least move me or offer a compensation. A couple of days later that family checked out- and my new neigbours were an amorous couple with a liking for board games. Yes, I could hear them ahem... spousal activity, and the sound of dice on wooden game board. We were given a card with the wrong meal times- and actually missed dinner because of it- the staff was merciful enough to offer us leftovers if we promise to hurry. P.S. Some dishes run out during the first meal hour- so be early or stick to leftovers. The thermal pool is accessable for 3 hours for the whole stay- whether you stay 3 days or 2 weeks. 3 hours in one trip, one time. Not daily, no "an hour today, an hour tomorrow". The spa treatment floors are definately of Soviet design- uncovered cement as a form of decoration. However, the wellness staff is quite skilled, I'll give them that. I was not notified that blood tests were included and PAID FOR in our package. The room itself is not pet or child safe- the no-balcony room still has a huge glass door for a window, with only a thin strip of metal on adult waist level. Also, the window is see through both ways- so anyone at the street on at the pool could have a look at me had I been less carefull where in my room I change clothes. But the worst part is that we've almost missed the flight home because of the receptionist. The hotel staff was notified a day earlier that our transfer was moved an hour earlier by the tour company- but no one bothered to notify us. More than that, he told the driver that we checked out and were no longer of his concern. Luckily the transfter coordinator called me, and was quite stressed. Cleaning... haha. I drew a smiley in the dust on the table in my room. And there was an empty medication pack under my bed. I left it there out of curiocity, and it was removed on day 10 of my stay. No choice of pillows, one thin pillow, one thin blanket, air condition hard to control with no instructions. Safe with no instructions. From 22:00 to 06:00 entrance only through the parking, not the front door. If it wasn't a prepaid package, I'd get the hell out of there. All in all- it don't justify the prices and is quite noisy. Stay away at all costs.

Mixed feelings about the hotel. Parts of it are luxurious, but other parts are of suboptimal quality. 1) Look and feel - still like a socialist building, in the middle of reconstruction works. 2) Bars - no good. Lobby bar closes before 10 PM, the disco karaoke bar has luxury prices, but is not aware of basic drinks. A barman who does not know what whisky sour is, and when told to add egg-white, offers me a shot of Bozkov eggnog? Really?? 3) Breakfast - bright side of this hotel. Variations every day, freshly cooked, high-quality meals, great choice. Espresso and cappuccino could be better, but otherwise top notch! 4) Rooms. Cleaned very well, well-equipped - however, I had a very bad mattress on my bed, with basically a laid-through hole, and because of the tight schedule, didn't find my way on the reception to have it replaced. Good otherwise. 5) Wellness part on -2 floor - looked great, all clean and functioning. I liked both saunas and the pool. 6) Reception - friendly and helpful.
