 A taste of our history

Our marketing organization was formerly known as Prague Information Service (PIS). PIS was established in early 1958 as an information and educational institution to support tourism in Prague and was one of the city's public-benefit corporations. Since January 2015, the organization has used the “Prague City Tourism” marketing brand exclusively. It has thus become a modern marketing agency and service organization. In 2018, the Prague City Council decided to transform the public-benefit corporation into a joint-stock company, a change which took effect on 1 July 2020.

Quite a nice church at the end of Charles Bridge. We didn't go in but it was one of the few building around which looked nice.

Organ concerts start at 7pm on most days (fri-sat for sure). The program is a mix of classical short compositions (3-5 min each) with and without vocals. My personal opinion - it sounded a bit too light and optimistic from what I’d have expected from an organ concert )) and I’d rather prefer an ongoing flow of music to the short pieces with breaks every couple of minutes for applause. But that’s just imho. Baroque interior itself is abundantly adorned. Just as baroque should be ) Nice experience overall, keeping in mind that the organ is said to have been played by Mozart while his living in the old days Prague.

Beautiful church with a small but ornately decorated interior. Attended an organ concert here and it was simply amazing. Highly recommend as it is so central, right by the Charles Bridge, but not as well publicized.

Lovely baroque style church. Visited several times, and loved studying the craftsmanship and level of detail on the sculptures, statues and decorations They also have various concerts in the evenings - from organ to trumpet and soprano. The one performance I've been to was good - the acoustics of the church is great!

We came here for the Organ concert and loved it. This is one of the two churches with best acoustics in Prague. Historic organs are original that even Mozart performed on when he lived in Prague. The ambience and sound are indeed superior. The trumpet players on the stairs on front of the church performing every couple minutes prior to the concert itself are luckily not performing during the concert itself though (they play really falsely). We found the pro-level trumpet player during the concerts to be amazing though. The instrument added optimism, life, energy and really positive spark to the whole event. Other church concerts could make you feel slightly down and too dark, but this wasn't the case here. The repertoire was a mix of famous pieces that fit a church concert very well. We enjoyed it a lot and were really happy we were able to even take couple pictures of the church without crowds right when the concert finished. A memorable experience overall!

Beautiful church with a large organ. Acoustic effect of the concert was very nice. The front left side of the seats are heated which are perfect for attending a concert in the winter.
