Nice church, beautiful interior, interesting view from the tower

Church of st. James is really beautiful. We set out on a lookout point where the entrance fee was about 50 crowns. The stairs to the lookout were quite steep, so I would not recommend it for smaller children and seniors, in any case the way is worth it, because the view of the city here is very nice.

A beautiful landmark of Česká Kamenice is this church, which stands on the site of an older building mentioned as early as 1352. After several Gothic-Renaissance reconstructions, its tower became part of the city fortifications. It underwent a major overhaul in 1834 and 1923. It now forms the imaginary center of the city's monument zone, which you can see when visiting the tower.

On the south side of the city center stands the church of St. Jakub Většího - its foundations date back to the 14th century. In 1444 the original church was burned down by the Lusatian people, but soon after it was restored and rebuilt in 1562. The most generous reconstruction in the late Gothic style was carried out in the years 1603-1605 by the stonemason Petr Petrzenzenuer. On the southwest corner of the church is a 46 m high square tower with a gallery, built by the builder Seiffert in the years 1552-1555. Originally, it was part of the city fortifications as a voice, and only during the reconstruction in 1605 was it attached to the church as a bell tower. Unfortunately, it is only accessible in the season from July to September, as the city does not have the funds to pay for just two people who could perform around the beautiful sights. You will meet the first one in the amazing pilgrimage chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The city hires a second student from the summer for the summer. On the southern side of the city's core there is the Church of St. Jacob the Greater - its foundations date back to the 14th century. In 1444, the original church was burned down by the Lužičan´s crews, but soon it was restored and rebuilt again in in 1562. The most beautiful reconstruction in late Gothic style was carried out in the years 1603-1605 by the stone builder Petr Patzenhauer. A 46 meter high square tower with a gallery, built by the architect Seiffert in 1552-1555 lies on the southwest corner of the church. The toweer is unfortunately accessible only in the season from July to September, as the city has no money to pay for TWO people who could guide you through the beautiful monuments here. You can meet the first one in the wonderful pilgrimage chapel of the Birth of the Virgin Mary. The second is hired from the students for the summer season.

Beautiful church, lower grade is only for the fact that it is closed during the winter and therefore I could not enjoy the interior.
