Zezadu budovy je krásně vidět, jak byl kostel postaven do městských hradeb, krásné jsou náhrobky na stěnách kostela. The beautiful church from 1483-1557 was built on the site of an older building from the 14th century. The tower played a defensive role. From behind the building you can see beautifully how the church was built into the city walls, the tombstones on the walls of the church are beautiful.

Ke kostelu byly připojeny i městské hradby a dodnes se část tohoto opevnění dochovala. Presbytář kostela se stavěl mezi lety1483–1511, v letech 1517–20 bylo budováno trojlodí, sklenuté 1552–54 Valentinem Hirschem. Sakristie pochází z roku 1748 s dodatečně osazenými renesančními prvky. Objekt je přístupný jen v době bohoslužeb. The impressive Gothic Church of the Birth of Virgin Mary was built between 1483-1557 on the site of an earlier building from which the main tower in the northwest corner, which also served as defensive function, was probably taken over. The city walls were also connected to the church, and to this day a portion of the fortifications have survived. The presbytery of the church was built between 1483 and 1511, in the years 1517-20 a three-nave main body was build and arched by Valentin Hirsch in 1552-54. The sacristy comes from 1748 with additional Renaissance elements. The building is accessible only during worship.
