Worse access to the church but then it's worth it?

Big surprise at a romantic (and almost mystical) place on the edge of Davle. The single-nave church of St. Kilian was according to the oldest preserved mention from 1352 long considered as a Gothic building. But during late 1980s part of the Roman wall with the window and torso of the portal was uncovered, which shifted the beginning of the temple back to the middle of the 12th century. The building was destroyed by a large fire in 1692, restored after 1775. The bell tower, the wooded slope, and the remnants of the monastery foundations on the opposite island, give really mysterious atmosphere to the place. It is definitely worth a visit!
A big surprise at a romantic (almost mystical) location on the outskirts of Davle. Church of St. Nicholas Kilian, according to the oldest surviving mention of 1352, was long considered a Gothic building. It was only during repairs at the end of the 1980s that the Romanesque masonry of the nave with a window and a torsion of the portal was accidentally uncovered, which moved the beginning of the temple back to the mid-12th century. The building was damaged in 1692 by a large fire and was restored after 1775. The mysterious atmosphere is illustrated by the belfry, the wooded slope, as well as the remains of the foundations of the monastery on the opposite island. The place is definitely worth a visit! Spolu s naproti ležícími pozůstatky Ostrovského kláštera z 11. St. Jde o místo s mystickou atmosferou, krvavými událostmi ze středověku a podivnou architekturou.
Along with the lying remains of Ostrovsky 11th monastery It is a place with a mystical atmosphere, bloody events from the Middle Ages and strange architecture.
