Worse access to the church but then it's worth it?

A big surprise at a romantic (almost mystical) location on the outskirts of Davle. Church of St. Nicholas Kilian, according to the oldest surviving mention of 1352, was long considered a Gothic building. It was only during repairs at the end of the 1980s that the Romanesque masonry of the nave with a window and a torsion of the portal was accidentally uncovered, which moved the beginning of the temple back to the mid-12th century. The building was damaged in 1692 by a large fire and was restored after 1775. The mysterious atmosphere is illustrated by the belfry, the wooded slope, as well as the remains of the foundations of the monastery on the opposite island. The place is definitely worth a visit!
