모짜르트의 어린시절 동상. 아이인 모짜르트의 동상이 있다는 건 여기와서 알았음.... 모짜르트라는 사람이 유럽에서 어떤 영향력이 있었는지 짐작하게하는 동상이 아닐까?
Mozart's childhood statue. I came here to know that there was a statue of a child, Mozart ... Isn't this a statue that reminds us of the influence of a man named Mozart in Europe?

An interesting sculpture. I was convinced that he depicts some fallen angel who lost his wing when he was banished from heaven ... Only after checking her name thoroughly, was astonishment. How is the statue of Mozart? Well, I do not understand, but it's worth seeing yourself.

Mano gimtadienio naktį iššovę šampaną, visiškai neturėdami čekiškų pinigų, tik eurų, nutarėme apžiūrėti Brno. :) Draugiški, labai dainingi ir linksmi čekai padėjo įsigyti transportui reikalingus bilietus bei mielai paaiškino, kaip nusigauti iki centro, kur ir ką galima rasti. Šitas berniukas suaugusio vyro galva bei vienu angelo sparnu pasitiko netikėtai ir maloniai nustebino. Tiesa, pati be paaiškinimų nesupratau, jog autorius čia vaizduoja garsųjį W. A. Mocartą.
After firing champagne on my birthday night, with absolutely no Czech money, only euros, we decided to visit Brno. :) The friendly, very singing and cheerful Czechs helped to get the necessary tickets for transportation and gladly explained how to get to the center, where and what can be found. This boy was suddenly and pleasantly surprised by the head of an adult man and one angel's wing. True, I myself did not understand without explanation that the author depicts the famous W. A. Mozart here. Only later, when I learned that the angel's wing symbolizes the tragic life of a music genius, and that curly hair is a necessary attribute of the composer - a wig, I looked at the work of the sculptor Kurt Gebauer with completely different eyes.

This was an unexpected find and a beautiful tribute to the musical legend who stands on a clavichord in a corner of the square. It was interesting to learn that Mozart came to live in Brno as a child during the smallpox epidemic in Vienna and played in the concert hall which is now the site of the Reduta Theatre (behind the statue). I don't know if it's true, but I read in a tour guide (Use-It Map for young travellers made by locals) that the reason Mozart only has one angel wing in the statue is to symbolise his tragic end from syphilis (or Salieri).

With a child's body and an adult's head, Mozart's statue has only one angel wing, as a reference to his tragic end.

This sculpture is of Mozart to commemorate his stay in Brno. The sculpture stands atop a column and Mozart is depicted as a winged child, but with the head of an adult Mozart. It just looks plain odd. The sculpture can be found on the northeast end of Vegetable Market square. Worth a quick detour if your there, but otherwise I wouldn’t bother
