Great walk, it's a pity that no water flows out of the well

In the forest on the slope of Medence (544 m above sea level), rainwater infiltrates and springs form. The water penetrates through narrow cracks in the Silurian rocks to depths of about 10 meters. During his pilgrimage, he is purified and enriched with minerals. The speed of its flow reaches only a few meters per day. The most beautiful fissure spring, which is located on the Rieger Trail, has a permeability of about 2 liters per second, and was named after the Czech writer Antal Stašek (1843 - 1931). The writer, real name Antonín Zeman, was a citizen of the town of Semily. The spring was modified by members of the Semily department of the Czech Tourists Club in 1925. The architectural design of the well of Stalak is architecturally very original, it visually corresponds with the pedestal of the statue of F. R. Rieger on Semily square. The ram's head spewing water has a strange effect. As for the edibility of water - there is no sign, the information board is also silent. I risked it, drank and I live. But I have an iron stomach, so don't take the example from me.

A pleasant place to relax. Only the spring disappeared somewhere and the water flows next to the well.
