Great walk, it's a pity that no water flows out of the well

V lese na svahu Medence (544 m n.m.) dochází ke vsakování srážkové vody a vzniku pramenů. Voda prostupuje úzkými trhlinami v silurských horninách do hloubek kolem 10 metrů. In the forest on the slope of Medenec hill (544 m above sea level) there is the accumulation of precipitation water and the formation of spring waters. Water penetrates through cracks in Silurian rocks into depths of about 10 meters. During their pilgrimage, they cleanse and enrich themselves with minerals. Its flow speed is only a few meters per day. The prettiest crack spring, located on Rieger's trail, has a throughput of about 2 liters per second, and was named after Czech writer Antal Stašek (1843-1931). The writer, by the real name Antonin Zeman, was a citizen of Semily. The spring was adjusted by members of the Semily Department of the Czech Tourists Club in 1925.

The architectural design of the well of Stalak is architecturally very original, it visually corresponds with the pedestal of the statue of F. R. Rieger on Semily square. The ram's head spewing water has a strange effect. As for the edibility of water - there is no sign, the information board is also silent. I risked it, drank and I live. But I have an iron stomach, so don't take the example from me.

Příjemné místo k odpočinku. Jen pramen někde zmizel a voda teče vedle studánky.
A pleasant place to relax. Only the spring disappeared somewhere and the water flows next to the well.

Studánka Antala Staška, příjemné osvěžení procházkou po Riegrově stezce kolem řeky Jizery ??

Great stop when hiking on Riegrove stezce. Named after famous Czech writer Antal Stasek. Source of spring is rain water absorbed by soil. I would not drink this water. There are two benches to take a break.
