I've never been to a tower. However, as a passer-by and a citizen of Pardubice, I can say that I like the tower as another dominant feature of the city. I am sorry that the designers did not design a restaurant or at least a café into the room at the top of the tower. It would have a beautiful view of the city and its surroundings. Certainly the citizens of the city and tourists would be welcome to visit this facility.

The telecommunication tower with a total height of around 103 m is a high-rise building of the technical infrastructure of radiocommunications in Pardubice, originally lower during the construction completed in 1989, in 2009 it was supplemented by a transmission structure to the current height. The author of the final design of the telecommunication tower is the architect Tomáš Dohnal, the construction was carried out at that time by the national company Průmstav in the form of drawn concrete. It is stated that the foundations of the tower are even sunk into the bedrock and are approximately 15 m deep below the surrounding terrain. I also think that it is interesting that the construction of considerable weight is situated immediately above the left bank of the river Elbe, in a place that is already part of the so-called East Alaska floodplain, where a mostly unpaved subsoil is assumed. Due to its height, the telecommunication tower dominates not only Pardubice, the regional capital, but also the northern part of the Pardubice region and also the natural area of ​​the Pardubice basin. Many residents of Pardubice and visitors to the metropolis would welcome if the tower included a lookout. The tower is also visible from a distance as a landmark, practically, for example, when moving in the terrain on the northern slopes of the Iron Mountains, for example from the Boiika lookout tower and, of course, from the north of Kunětická hora (see places on the map). The tower is inaccessible to the public, part of the technical infrastructure used exclusively for radio communications technologies, but it is certainly interesting to see the tower at least from its immediate surroundings as an interesting and period-related technical building. It is built of monolithic concrete with five rings around the perimeter and documents the architecture of technical buildings in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century, according to the National Monuments Institute, it is part of the national and cultural identity of the Czech Republic.
