Členové rodiny Thun-Hohensteinů zde byli pohřbíváni až do roku 1935. Po válce zůstal objekt stranou zájmu a trpěl častými útoky vandalů. Ty si nakonec vynutily exhumaci ostatků a jejich přenesení do krypty kostela Povýšení sv. Kříže. V roce 1998 byla v kapli instalována expozice k dějinám objektu. Od června 2008 kapli spravuje příspěvková organizace Zámek Děčín. The church is situated above the highest point of the Teplice Street, about 400 m from the main railway station, at the bus stop Teplická, but it is a pleasant 10-minute walk from the train station. The construction looked like a backdrop for the shooting of horror in that misty December morning, and when a person stands near, he realizes how tall it is. The Pseudo-Gothic/Neo-Romanesque church was built in 1881-1884 (design by G. L. Moeckel, builder W. Nickel), with the significant contribution of industrialist Franz Jordan. The original Baroque pilgrim church was built here in 1722-1732 with the enthusiasm of the local parishioners for the blessing of the new Czech patron saint of Jan Nepomucký. It was canceled by Joseph II. and later disassembled. In 1868-1872, Count Franz Anton Thun left the Neo-Gothic chapel with a family tomb in its place. The members of the Thun-Hohenstein family were buried there until 1935. After the war, the site remained a part of interest and suffered frequent attacks by vandals. It forced the exhumation of the remains and their transfer to the crypt of the Church "Povýšení svatého Kříže". An exhibition on the history of the building was installed in the chapel in 1998. Since June 2008, the chapel has been administered by the organization Děčín Castle.

Very nice building. Stairs in the back in a desolate state.

A beautiful place in the corner of Děčín, with an adjacent park. It is worth visiting and thinking for a moment about the transience of life
