Die Burg ist ein Highlight bei jedem Prag Besuch. Leider ist die Abwicklung auf der Burg (Ticketkauf, fehlende Wegweiser etc) schlecht organisiert. Gerade wenn der Ansturm groß ist, nervt das um so mehr.

Asked more money for the tickets.Thank God that I have before checked the prices. And then the poor guy was so rude....what an impression of Prague. Feel so sad for Czech.

The space of today's second courtyard was a part of the settlement around the castle in the Middle Ages, later was overrun by castle moats. In the Renaissance, especially during the reign of Rudolf II, a courtyard with a western and northern castle gate was created, surrounded by representative residential and gallery spaces. It´s present form was rebuilt in the 18th century. Tourist information center on the II. courtyard of the Prague Castle is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (in the winter season 9:00 - 16:00). If you would like to take guided tours, you can book them at [email protected]. In the summer tourist season (April 1 - October 31), the Prague Castle area is open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, visitors' facilities are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In the winter tourist season (1 November - 31 March), visitors' buildings close one hour earlier (the whole object visiting hours remains the same). If you would like to see the ceremonial changing of soldiers, just wait at the gates of the castle every hour. At 12:00 pm, fanfare and standard exchange take place in the 1st courtyard. Visitors and exhibition places have barrier-free entrances, except the Daliborka Tower, the White Tower, the Powder Tower and the Great South Tower of the Cathedral. If you want to take a tour at your own pace, in the infocenters at II. i III. courtyard offer you an audioguide devices in Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian, with the ability to switch between languages. The recording time is about 3 hours and contains a total of 96 stops. The price is 350 CZK per device for 3 hours, or 450 CZK for the whole visitor's day. Prostor dnešního druhého nádvoří byl ve středověku nejdříve součástí předhradí, později přetnutý hradními příkopy. V renesanci, hlavně v době Rudolfa II., vzniklo nádvoří se západní a severní zámeckou bránou, obklopené reprezentativními obytnými a galerijními prostorami. Svoji dnešní podobu získalo přestavbou v 18. století. Turistické infocentrum na II. nádvoří Pražského hradu je otevřeno denně od 9:00 do 17:00 hod. (v zimní sezóně 9:00 - 16:00 hod.) Pokud byste rádi absolvovali prohlídky s průvodcem, je možno si je rezervovat na adrese [email protected]. V letní turistické sezóně (1. duben – 31. říjen) je areál Pražského hradu otevřen od 6:00 do 22:00 hodin, návštěvnické objekty pak od 9:00 do 17:00 hodin. V zimní turistické sezóně (1. listopad – 31. březen) se návštěvnické objekty uzavírají o hodinu dříve. Pokud byste rádi viděli slavnostní střídání vojáků, stačí počkat u bran Hradu každou celou hodinu. Ve 12.00 hodin probíhá s fanfárami a výměnou standarty na 1. nádvoří. Návštěvnické a výstavní objekty mají bezbariérové vstupy, kromě věže Daliborka, Bílé věže, Prašné věže a Velké jižní věže Katedrály. Pokud chcete prohlídku absolvovat vlastním tempem, v infocentrech na II. i III. nádvoří najdete přístroje audioguide v češtině, angličtině, francouzštině, němčině, italštině, španělštině a ruštině, s možností přepínání mezi jednotlivými jazyky. Délka nahrávky je cca 3 hodiny a obsahuje celkem 96 zastavení. Cena je 350 Kč za přístroj na 3 hodiny, nebo 450 Kč za celý návštěvnický den.

I am so sorry so say this, but such an amazing place where you came, so many international tourist bringing here money and spending a lot of time, BUT STAFF in this TOURIST INFO CENTER is unbelievable RUDE !!! To be honest I did not expected this, I please managers or supervisors to change quality of service because this is first place where tourists getting impression from.
