I visited Staré Petrovice for the 1st time and it is an interesting and quiet part of Prague. The village is documented since the 14th century, it became an independent village in 1920, Petrovice was annexed to Prague with the preservation of its own local national committee in 1968 and since then they are part of the district of Prague 10. But since the 11th century Slavic housing estates, for example in Hostivař, Záběhlice or Dubeč. Unfortunately, the condition of the local chateau is more than tragic and there is now a car service from the former large brewery, but the church of St. Jacob the Elder is very nice and definitely worth a visit. It is also the oldest building in Petrovice.
