It was originally a vineyard homestead with two vineyards. One of ´em was owned by Jan the Elder of Popovice. It was confiscated from him in 1621 and in the 1920s it was given to Dr. František Vilém Sonntag from Adam František Prince Schwarzenberg for legal services (hence its name). In 1868, it was rebuilt into a neo-Gothic villa by its owner, Knight Eduard Doubek. In 1907, the homestead was bought by the village of Smíchov and opened to the public. The villa has been a protected monument since 1958 and today houses a kindergarten.
