V roce 1884 otevřel Karl Elsener svou dílnu v Ibach-Schwyz. V té době patřilo Švýcarsko k chudším zemím Evropy. Karl Elsener zpočátku vytvářel pracovní místa v povodí řeky Schwyz a pomáhal zastavit emigraci obyvatel. V roce 1891 vyrobil první vojenský nůž pro švýcarskou armádu. Od roku 1897 pokračoval ve vývoji švýcarského vojenského a sportovního nože, který se o pár let později stal ikonickým švýcarským armádním nožem. Tímto úspěchem položil základní kámen pro světoznámou prosperující společností.
Dnes je Victorinox společností nabízející pět kategorií kvalitních švýcarských výrobků: švýcarské armádní nože, domácí a profesionální nože, proslulé švýcarské hodinky, cestovní zavazadla a vlastní kolekci vůní.Legendární švýcarský armádní nůž má průkopnickou úlohu ve vývoji všech kategorií výrobků – například kvalitní ocel z čepelí švýcarských armádních nožů využitá pro kolekci odolných hodinek.

They even helped us to find an accomodation, offered the best coffee We had ever and it was our Anniversary trip to Praque and their hospitality is amazing. as huge variety of Victorinox from knife to luggage. Best quality in the world. I use that brand over 10 years and happy to visit this beautiful store. More than a shop and you definitely must visit
