Název je odvozen od výklenku - ten je určen pro umístění obrazu, sochy nebo reliéfu, to podle zasvěcení kaple. Může být i v krajině, podobně jako Boží muka, nebo někdy u studánek, podobu výklenkové kaple mívají i zastavení poutní nebo křížové cesty (tento text už jsem jednou použil). S podobnými stavbami se setkáš třeba v Břevnově, Neveklově, Brníkově, Pavlíkově a na mnoha dalších místech. Niche chapel - for someone perhaps not quite understandable naming. So what is it? d	ddur77 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Výklenkovou kapli v roce 1757 nechala postavit Univerzita Karlova v souvislosti s bitvou u Štěrbohol (6. května 1757). Kaple je stejného typu jako proslulé kaple staroboleslavské poutní cesty. V tympanonu je umístěn čtyřlist – kvadrilob se zbytkem fresky s motivem poprsí Panny Marie. V nice je freska s Kristem na kříži a klečící Pannou Marií. Občanské spolky z Malešic usilují o rekonstrukci kaple, ale zatím se nepodařilo "zvítězit" nad úředníky... The alcove chapel was built in 1757 by Charles University in connection with the Battle of Štěrbohol (May 6, 1757). The chapel is of the same type as the famous chapel of the Old Boleslav pilgrimage route. In the tympanum there is a four-leaf clover - a quadrilob with the rest of the fresco with the motif of the bust of the Virgin Mary. In Nice is a fresco with Christ on the cross and the kneeling Virgin Mary. Civic associations from Malešice are trying to reconstruct the chapel, but so far it has not been possible to "win" over the officials ...
