★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Средневековый колодц, расположен недалеко от базилики святых апостолов Петра и Павла. На первый взгляд сам колодец выглядет неказисто. Однако, немного истории: древняя чешская крепость Вышеград, это второй княжеский град, построенный во второй половине 10 века для защиты пражской котловины. Тогда же и был выкопан глубокий колодец, который являлся важной частью водоснабжения крепости, особенно в периоды ее осад.
В наше время средневековый колодец является достопримечательностью парка Вышеград – одного из самых романтических пражских мест. Шестигранный в плане, колодец выполнен преимущественно из дерева и установлен на невысоком каменном постаменте, вместе с которым колодец имеет высоту около двух метров. Сбоку имеется круглое железное колесо-рукоять, предназначенное для подъема емкости с водой.
 Medieval well, located near the Basilica of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. At first glance, the well itself looks ugly. However, a little history: the ancient Czech fortress Vysehrad is the second princely castle, built in the second half of the 10th century to protect the Prague basin. At the same time, a deep well was dug, which was an important part of the fortress's water supply, especially during the periods of its sieges.
Nowadays, the medieval well is a landmark of Vysehrad Park, one of the most romantic places in Prague. Hexagonal in plan, the well is made mainly of wood and is installed on a low stone pedestal, together with which the well has a height of about two meters. On the side there is a round iron wheel-handle designed to lift a container with water.

Very nice well. Velicr photogenic site. It is unbelievable, as some cattle have found garbage in the well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the old medieval well in Vysehrad, literally. It’s just a well with a canopy over it. This isn’t really much to see and if it weren't listed I doubt I'd even have noticed it. There are far more important and interesting things to see in Vysehrad.
