It is located in the park of Visegrad, (near the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul) ... The sculpture is beautiful ... / although I honestly did not assume that these are mythical wars in Czech history.???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sochy od Josefa Václava Myslbeka z konce 19. století, byly umístěny až do roku 1945 na Palackého mostě. Po poškození při bombardování Prahy byly přemístěny na Vyšehrad. Sousoší zobrazuje mýtické bratry z epické básně rukopisu Královodvorského. Výklad jména Slavoj znamená "slavný vojevůdce" a Záboj značí "bojovník". Bratři byli vůdci povstání proti invazi německých vojsk Karla Velikého a údajně vedli vítěznou bitvu v roce 805.
Statues by Josef Václav Myslbek from the end of the 19th century were placed on the Palacký Bridge until 1945. After damage during the bombing of Prague were moved to Vyšehrad. The sculpture depicts the mythical brothers from the epic poem of the manuscript of Královodvorský. The interpretation of the name Slavoj means "famous commander" and Záboj means "warrior". The brothers were leaders of the uprising against the invasion of the German troops of Charles the Great and reportedly waged a victorious battle in 805.

Оба были славянскими воинами, которые вместе со своими войсками выступили против неприятеля Людка. Совместными силами разбив врага, они достигли Альп, где захватили пленных. Благодаря героизм богатырей удалось освободить родную земля от завоевателей.

Sculpture "Slaughter and Glory".
Both were Slavic warriors who, together with their troops, opposed the enemy Ludko. Having defeated the enemy with joint forces, they reached the Alps, where they captured prisoners. Thanks to the heroism of the heroes, they managed to liberate their native land from the conquerors.
