★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poszedlem tam za namowa P. Szczygla wiedzac, zw to jego slabostka, ale i tak sie rozczarowalem. Dla przecietnej osoby to zmarnowany czas na spacer.
I went there at the urging of P. Szczygiel, knowing that it was his weakness, but I was disappointed anyway. For the average person, this is a wasted time for a walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extra hingefahren und ... vorbeigelaufen. Andere Gebäude in der direkten Nachbarschaft schauen kubistischer aus. Historisch ist die von Josef Chochol entworfene und 1912-13 erbaute dreiteilige Villa womöglich interessant, aber sie macht jetzt nicht gerade viel her. Rundungen wie Fensterbögen wurden quasi in Fraktur gesetzt und durch Mehrecke ersetzt. Das war's. Nach einigen wenigen Gebäuden im ähnlichen Stil gab Chochol diesen übrigens bereits 1914 wieder auf und wandte sich dem Internationalen Konstruktivismus zu, ein Stil der aber mehr mit politischer Orientierung als mit Architektur zu tun hatte.
I drove there and ... walked by. Other buildings in the immediate vicinity look more cubist. Historically, the three-part villa, designed by Josef Chochol and built in 1912-13, may be interesting, but it doesn't look very much now. Curves like window arches were set in fracture and replaced by polygons. That's it After a few buildings in a similar style, Chochol gave it up again in 1914 and turned to international constructivism, a style that had more to do with political orientation than architecture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Další Chocholova architektura silně kubismem ovlivněná. Já si myslm, že pro mladé zájemce o historii moderní architektury, by mohlo být dobrodružstvím, tuto tvorbu po Česku hledat. A budou možná překvapeni.
Another Chochol's architecture strongly influenced by Cubism. I think that for young people interested in the history of modern architecture, it could be an adventure to look for this work in the Czech Republic. And they may be surprised.
