V roce 1991 došlo ke sloučení mateřské a základní školy. Součástí dnes krásně zrekonstruované školy je i školní družina a jídelna. After World War I, minority schools were established. Public schools could be set up in every municipality with at least 40 children according to a three-year average. In 1924, a Czech municipal school was established in Sloup by a regulation of the inspectorate of Czech state schools in Liberec. It was housed in one classroom in the German school building No. 81. 19 children were admitted, who mostly did not speak Czech and came from mixed families. In 1925, a school set up a language course for children. In the mid-1930s, the number of children rose to 23. In September 1945, the school had 49 pupils in two classes. In 1991, the kindergarten and primary school merged. Part of today's beautifully renovated school is the after-school club and dining room.
