It has improved over the last few years with organic items sold without industrial packaging, or vegetarian burgers that actually taste good. And helpful staff (when they are young, older Czech people are hopeless when you're a foreigner).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The newly updated Albert hypermarkets are excellent for range, quality and prices. This one especially has a huge stock, fresh, frozen and chilled... Fish especially, kitchen ware too, and is a few metres from the free underground car park at Westfield.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's big and seemingly has a lot more goods than ordinary Albert. But when you enter, you risk spending too much time here just strolling from aisle to aisle in search of some things or the other.

At the cashier, a particularly mean and rude lady offered me the worst grocery shopping experience in the Czech Republic.
You don’t need to be nice, or even polite, but please at least learn to talk in a civilised way. You’re working in a civilised society, so don’t yell, don’t roll your eyes to anyone, it’s disgusting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Albert is great if you have time to find the stuff you need especially in non-veg stuff and I will get eggs always at a cheaper price as compared to another market. Huge bakery products also who love to eat bekary foods, pasta, spaghetti always in cheaper price. ???
